Coach Shayden Payne is the owner and head coach at ETP, where his passion lies in mentoring and empowering young people—especially through the game of basketball. A standout high school athlete and former collegiate basketball player, Shayden has dedicated his life to developing not just skilled athletes, but strong, confident individuals.
His coaching experience includes several years with Big Country Impact, as well as work with respected organizations like the CP3 Middle School Combine and Point Guard College. Right out of college, he stepped into a leadership role as the head varsity coach at Lueders Avoca. He has also spent countless hours volunteering to coach youth sports, demonstrating his commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of young athletes.
Shayden's ability to connect with youth from all walks of life sets him apart. Having overcome his own challenges during early childhood, he understands firsthand how sports can offer healing, purpose, and direction. This connection allows him to build trust with his players—creating an environment where growth, both on and off the court, is possible.
For Shayden, coaching is about far more than winning games. It’s about building confidence, shaping character, and helping young people realize their full potential. Every practice and every game is an opportunity to be a positive influence, and that’s what drives him every day.
